In reply to your letter of the 12th March last addressed to His Excellency the Governor, relative to the Estate of the late Mathew Falconer, deceased, I have the honour by direction to forward to you herewith the report of Mr Holmes, the Solicitor assigned to you by the Court, as well as the opinion on the case by Mr Robinson, the Counsel whom the Court also assigned to you.

Upon these facts I regret to have to inform you that the Government cannot further move in your behalf, nor can the Solicitor or Counsel assigned to act for you, so long as the facts remain as they are, be required to take any further proceedings in the matter.
